Mayoral farce

Surly this mayoral farce has gone on long enough.
Questions and answers are required in my view, these are:
1. Exactly how and why did Doncaster come to have an elected mayor in the first place?
2. What education, experience, training in management techniques etc. does he have. A published Curriculum Vitae would be a good for all concerned.
3. I seem to remember that a petition was raised, and that the required percentage of the electorate demanded a referendum on whether we had an elected mayor or not was promised. Why has this not taken place?
4. How much longer do we, the tax payers of Doncaster have to put up with this.
