THIS week it seems bands are dropping like flies.
Over the festival period, it appears some groups simply can't handle the pace. Ameri-can teen group Be Your Own Pet have split along with Wolfmother within the past week. However other bands are ploughing on by rush releasing albums in time for Chris
tmas. Kings of Leon, Los Campesinos and Kaiser Chiefs are all releasing albums less than a year after their last - so are bands burning out quicker than we expect?
If you're looking for something different, Vintage Rockbar is having a stoner rock night tonight. That's right, just when you thought 'stoner rock' was out of fashion Pilgrim Fathers will be making an appearance.

Known for their Doncaster ties, this group are definitely one to watch this week. But if stoner rock ain't your thing, then Subpop's Jennifer Gentle are the band to see on Saturday night. Now for those of you who have heard of Subpop, you'll know that it's a pretty big deal that a band on their roster are appearing in Doncaster so, yet again, head down there, see The In-complete and All Boys Like War, and see what the fuss is all about.

The Priory also has a good selection of local bands popping down to their club this weekend with I Am Bandini, Guy Honeymoon, The Beaus, Suns of Banditos and The Thieves playing on Saturday night. The night before on Friday however you can see Bleed From Within, Trigger the Bloodshed and Truth Tells Lies.

Then over in Sheffield, the city comes alive again with the sound of LostProphets tonight before moving onto R'n'B outfit N.E.R.D on Monday. Then next Wednesday you can see Biffy Clyro perform a warm up show at the Leadmill.
