DONCASTER Live Festival, now in its fourth year, is set to welcome a crop of top bands to town this weekend - with big name acts rubbing shoulders with local bands - and all for free.
This weekend's two-day festival promises to be the biggest and best yet with The Levellers headlining on Saturday night, along with young up and coming groups Elliot Minor and The Rascals. The band behind the hits Beautiful Day, One Way, Just The One and many more will be the last band to grace the stage with musical entertainment getting under way from 6pm.

However, the party is not just limited to the Market Place, with many other venues, pubs and businesses taking part in the annual event.

In fact, from Saturday morning you can find an array of entertainment all over Doncaster town centre. Last year, the line-up included dancers, singers, circus acts and many more besides entertaining shoppers on Saturday afternoon. The entertainment spots, located on Clock Corner, outside T J Hughes and in the Market Place will see many variety acts from around the area performing.

Then in the evening, the event will unveil a line-up of national acts starting with Little Tremors from Manchester before moving onto Ten Bears, Tiny Dancers, Elliot Minor, The Rascals and The Levellers.

The music continues on the Sunday with a variety of local acts playing on the outdoor stage from 2pm. Bands both young and old will be playing on the stage including The Thieves, Tobias, Sugarcubed, The Beaus, Urchin Child and Tea and Biscuits.

This year the festival aims to target every music taste in the town and with thousands attending in the pouring rain last year, it is hoped this year's will be an even bigger success.

Doncaster Live Festival will take place on Saturday from 6pm and Sunday from 2pm. For more information on the line-up go to www.doncasterlive.co.uk.
