Man fights for life after chip shop attack

A 26-YEAR-OLD Doncaster man is critically ill after being attacked outside a Midlands chip shop.
The 26-year-old - who has not been named - was injured in Market Harborough High Street - late on Saturday.

He is reported to be critically ill in hospital in Leicestershire.

A 19-year-old local man was arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail.

Local police have confirmed that no weapon was used in the attack.

They are appealing for information and for anyone who was outside the Trident chip shop to come forward.
