Broke Belles plead for help

THE world-famous Doncaster Belles are days from going bust.
The club has issued a last-ditch plea to local and national businesses as it struggles to find just £500 for a coach to what could be their final match at Arsenal on Sunday.
Heartbroken team chairman Jonathan James said: "This is one of the biggest brands in football - in the world even - and it would be catastrophic if it were to fold."
Personal loans from the club treasurer and manager are currently keeping the six-time FA Cup winners afloat after the long-running sponsorship deal with Ben Bailey Homes ended last year.
According to James, the club's future now hangs in the balance - and they could go bust as soon as this weekend unless a major new sponsor comes forward.
He said: "Everybody is being supportive but finding that financial rescue package is just not happening. We're going to have to sit down on Sunday afternoon and look at costs. We've simply got no money - it's as serious as that."
