Veteran angler dies

THE former president of Doncaster Angling Association - and son of a former honorary Doncaster Rovers manager - has died aged 92.
Harold Calder, the son of Billy Calder who managed Rovers between 1920 and 1922, died on Tuesday, July 8, after a short illness. He was well known in the local fishing fraternity having being president of Doncaster Angling Association for more than two decades. A minute's silence was held as a mark of respect at the association's latest anglers' fishing night earlier this month.
