CASTLE Park's new multi-million pound West Stand could be ready in time for Doncaster Knights' home clash with Bedford next month.
The opening of the £3million development was originally planned for Nottingham's visit on January 24 but the Knights are now hopeful that the 1,650 all-seater stand will be finished in time to house supporters when they host Bedford on November 22.

Knights chief executive James Criddle told the Free Press: "Work has gone smoothly and with so much effort being put in by the lads at RJ Cadman Construction we could even be opening all the seats in time for the Bedford game.

"I'm happy to say there is a very strong possibility these seats will be open and we have a contingency plan in place to move season ticket holders over to the new West Stand by that date.

"Obviously we will be looking to keep fans up to date with this possibility through our own website, and the Free Press, as things develop."

When fully open the state-of-the-art stand will boast conference facilities, a classroom and other top class amenities for fans.
