Marauders seek crown

MOORENDS-Thorne Marauders aim to end an already impressive season by being crowned the Rugby League Conference champions this weekend.
Marauders, who are coached by Dons captain Peter Green, take on Bristol Sonics in the Grand Final at Derby RFC on Sunday (1.30pm).
It will be the club's second appearance in the showpiece event but they are looking for a positive outcome this time after being beaten 36-30 by Liverpool in 2006.
Green led his side to the final - in his first season in charge - with a convincing 68-10 win over Bridlington Bulls in the last four.
But Bristol are expected to be a tougher proposition after winning the West Midlands title for the second successive season - going through the campaign undefeated.
