Doncaster Rovers have postponed their next three matches after further cases of Covid-19 within the squad were confirmed.

Rovers had been set to visit Fleetwood Town on Tuesday, Peterborough United on Saturday and Oxford United on January 5 but all three games will now be rescheduled.

The entire Rovers squad has been tested since early Boxing Day when it was confirmed that two players had contracted the virus, forcing the cancellation of the clash with Accrington Stanley.

In the meantime, a further player and a member of Darren Moore’s staff returned positive tests, even before the results for the whole squad came back which revealed two further confirmed cases.

Players gradually received notifications from the NHS Track and Trace system over the last two days to inform them they should self-isolate after contact with a confirmed Covid case.

Now, the entire squad will enter a ten-day period of self-isolation.

The circumstances surrounding each postponement will be subject of an EFL investigation.
